Intellectual Freedom

  • The right of every individual to both seek and receive information from all points of view without restriction

  • Free access to all expressions of ideas through which any and all sides of a question, cause, or movement may be explored

It’s great that the library is finding all points of view instead of forcing one point on all students.

I think this is important so students can see all sides of a converation and have their own opinion.

I agree with this because if you could only listen to one persons opinions. everybodies opinions would be the same.

Intellectual freedom is important to knowing right from wrong, and makes it easier to write essays for political and historical classes.

Having both points of view greatly helps in writing essays in political and hiistorical essays.

I think it’s good how the library provides books for all points of view and is respectful to the beliefs of all different people. Having both points can really help when writing research papers.

I agree that intellectual freedom is important because, if we all were allowed to only know/learn one thing then we’ll all think the same.

Intellectual freedom is very important in the way each individual grasps certain topics. The reason that I strongly believe of the importance is because, if we all only know the same information, nothing would change and everyone would think of things from the same aspects.
